I hope all of you tumblers who, on a regular basis, post about how unacceptable cultural exploitation is…
I hope you enjoyed your green beer and shamrock adorned attire on a holiday that mocks my heritage as whole.
Talk about hypocrisy.
tonight, I am welcoming all questions, comments, & even rude comments. i’m in an exposing mood. any takers?

HOLY SMOKES! One of the best political posters I’ve ever seen. Also applies to religion.
this political cartoon is incredible.
When 98% of your followers, and 99% of the population, use a method of contraceptive in direct conflict with your position, at what point do you feel that imposing the will of unmarried, celibate men representing a foreign city-state [Vatican City] is not the best context to address sexuality in America?
Let me get this straight: You’re some form of hipster declaring yourself to the internet as a modern day feminist, and you’re outraged by the inequality between men and women in society today.
I’ve been watching these posts for awhile, and I believe it’s about time I stir the pot. I’m a twenty one year old woman who is not a feminist by any means, and in fact, finds the “modern feminist movement” rather idiotic.
Allow me to explain my reasons. Of course, as per usual, I am open to rational minded refutations, but don’t waste my time if you can’t muster a valid counterargument.
Modern feminists seem to have an inconsistency between what they want in society, based on equality versus chivalry. I understand the outrage feminists feel that for every dollar a man makes, we will make only approximately seventy cents. However, if you’re going to fight for equality in wages, then you don’t get chivalry anymore. You can’t have both, so make your mind up. When you go out on a date with a guy, and the check comes to the table, as a modern day feminist, you should reach for the check the same way a man does, but you don’t, do you? No, and even the feminists who say they would have no problem splitting the check don’t reach for it the way you would with your friends. You just sit there and wait to see if the guy makes an attempt to get the check. Really? Feminism should be about equality, but it seems to me that most women aren’t concerned with equality anymore as much as misandry.
Equal Opportunity does not necessitate Equal Outcome. For example, women want to be engineers too on an equal playing field, so that means 50% of engineering jobs should be held by women? No, sweetheart, that’s not how this works. See, if a man has superior job skills and intelligence in the field, he deserves the job. That’s all there is to it.
Finally, are you aware that over the last twenty five years, women have accounted for more than 30% of all the master’s in business administration at top colleges? However, women hold less than 1.5% of all CEO positions. Economists Marianne Bertrand, Claudia Goldin, and Lawrence Katz tried to solve the wage gap and concluded the following data:
Women tend to have slightly lower GPAs than men.
Women tend to take fewer finance classes.
Women work fewer hours than men, an average of six less per week.
Women take more career interruptions of six months or more.
(40% of women MBAs versus 10% of male MBAs.)
….What’s my point to sharing this data with you? While yes, men do tend to make more money than women, your data is skewed from the beginning. The average female with no children only works 3% less than men, but a female with a family tends to work 24% less. I’m sorry, ladies, but the penalties from shorter hours and job discontinuity for any length of time is damaging to anyone’s career. It’s not gender affiliated. To put it simply, women get paid less on average on average they work fewer hours or in less well-paid occupations.
I leave you with the perhaps-overused quote: “Those who want feminism don’t really want equality, and those who want equality really don’t want feminism.”
